Euro 96 Gazza Poster T-Shirt
It all started rather tamely with a draw against Switzerland. Then Uri Geller made the ball move for McAllister's penalty miss - yeah, right, Uri - and there was Gazza, the dentist's chair and the thrashing of the Netherlands, pretty much the only good game anyone had seen England play for what felt like decades.
The Spain game was quite boring but the Germany game wasn't. We were half a stride away from Gazza scoring a golden goal. That video fix they did where he slides it into the net was probably more painful than the miss.
How ironic that Southgate's missed penalty helped make him into the manager who has led the country to a World Cup semi-final and a Euro final. Mind, I reckon the current England team would take the 96 team apart.
